What is it?
Flaxseed Oil, also known as linseed oil, is a plant-based oil extracted from the seeds of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum). Food-grade flaxseed oil is valued particularly for its high content of Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA), a plant-based Omega-3 fatty acid.
It has a mild, slightly nutty flavour and is best used uncooked or at low temperatures, as its delicate fats can be damaged by high heat.
