What is it?
Red Quinoa is a reddish-brown variety of quinoa, an edible seed from the Chenopodium quinoa plant. Although commonly prepared and eaten like a grain, quinoa is technically a pseudocereal.
Compared with white quinoa, red quinoa generally has a firmer, slightly chewy texture and a richer, nuttier flavour. It also tends to hold its shape well after cooking, making it especially suitable for salads and grain bowls.
