Chlorella & Cacao Balls

These no-bake chlorella and cacao balls combine ground almonds, Medjool dates, nut butter and cacao, with a seed coating. Make them in a food processor and refrigerate until firm.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups ground almonds
  • 2½ tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2½ tablespoons almond or cashew butter
  • 2½ tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ⅓ cup raw cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon Mamami Natural Wave Chlorella Powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Extra chia seeds or hemp seeds, for coating

Method

  1. Place all ingredients except the extra coating seeds in a food processor.
  2. Pulse until the dates break down and the ingredients form a mixture that holds together when pressed. Stop and scrape down the bowl as needed.
  3. Scoop out approximately 1 tablespoon of mixture at a time. Roll between your palms into balls about 1 inch across.
  4. Spread the extra chia or hemp seeds on a plate. Roll each ball in the seeds to coat lightly.
  5. Place the balls in an airtight container and refrigerate until firm.
