Japanese Pancakes with Fruit and Honey

Make a batch of Japanese pancakes using Hakubaku Pancake Mix, an egg and milk. Serve warm with your favourite fruit and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 150g Hakubaku Pancake Mix
  • 1 egg
  • 100ml milk

Optional Toppings

  • Fresh fruit of your choice
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • Butter

Method

  • Whisk the egg and milk together in a bowl.
  • Add the pancake mix and stir gently until combined.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat, then reduce to low.
  • Pour one-third of the batter into the pan to make one pancake.
  • Cook over low heat for approximately 3 minutes, until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip and cook the other side until golden and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Serve warm with fresh fruit, butter and honey or maple syrup.

Tip: In a non-stick pan, gently check whether the pancake moves easily before flipping.
